1.       The Organisers and Norton & District Riding Club accept no responsibility for any accident, damage or injury to riders, spectators, horses or any other persons or property however caused.

2.       Age to be taken from 1st January.

3.       No horse or pony under 4 years of age will be eligible to compete.

4.       Correct dress must be worn for appropriate classes. Please refer to dress code guidelines available at booking point.

5.       No cantering around the show field.

6.       Children to be supervised at all times.

7.       Horses should not be left unsupervised when tied up to the outside of lorries or trailers.

8.       No persons allowed in any ring unless with the authorisation of the ring steward.

9.       No schooling whips are allowed and misuse of whips and spurs may result in elimination.

10.   Any child or pony entering lead rein must remain so ALL DAY with the exception of classes 11 & 16a.

11.  All lead rein ponies in show classes must be in a snaffle bridle with lead rein attached to the noseband.

12.  Spurs may not be worn by any competitor under 10 years of age. Spurs and whips may NOT be used in games or 'Roll Out The Barrel.'

13.  Show Jumping classes faults are as follows; 4 for knockdown, 4 for refusal, 2nd refusal automatic elimination at which time you MUST retire from the ring. If you fall in the ring you are advised not to continue.

14.  Competitors will be penalized if they fail to report to their classes when called. Classes will only be held for five minutes.

15.  NON-COMPETITIVE ENTRIES ALLOWED AT COMMITTEE’S DISCRETION ONLY.

16.  No refunds of entry monies at any event. NO SUBSTITUTES ALLOWED.

17.  In hand class handlers under the age of 16 must wear a riding hat.

18.  All trophies are held for one year and must be returned by the date requested. Late returns WILL result in loss of deposit and may incur collection charges.

19.  The Judge’s decision is final.

20.  Any objection must be made in writing with a £10 deposit within 15 minutes of the class ending. Objections submitted correctly will be investigated by the Committee whose decision will be final.

21.  Any competitor using the Showground in such a way as to cause danger or hindrance to others will be asked to leave immediately.

22.  PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME AND DOG OWNERS PLEASE COME EQUIPPED WITH A POOPER-SCOOPER. Dogs must be kept on a lead.

23.  No stallions permitted on the Showground.

24.  All times are approximate and classes may begin earlier or later depending on entries.

25.For measuring purposes 148cm (14.2hh) and below shall be classed as a pony, any animal above the height shall be classes as a Horse. The judge may ask for proof of height.
