Members:
There are many advantages of becoming a member of
the ‘Norton-District Riding Club.
These include half-price entry to classes; opportunities to come to
training days; member-only trophy day; and are included in the point system.
(SEE POINT SYSTEM).
To become a member a form is required to be filled out, these can be posted to you, or collected from the administrative caravan at the shows. However, it is only possible for you to become a member up until the first three shows of the season.
Point System:
Within the riders who are members of the club, there is a competition that runs throughout the season, in every class. If a horse and rider combination are placed 1st, 5 points are issued; 2nd , 4 points; 3rd, 3 points, and 4th, 2 points are awarded. These points are tallied over the season, and the horse and rider combination with the highest points per class shall receive an appropriate trophy which will be presented at the clubs award evening. (The trophy is kept for a year, and it is required that the trophy is returned to the club the following season).
